　　Example:

　　Wrong：谢力，我用你的自行车吗？

　　Right：谢力，我能（可以）用你的自行车吗？

　　This sentence of asking the other side for permission laks a word expressing permission.one should add“能”or“可以”before the verb.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：请你把你的词典借我用用，能吗？

　　Right：请你把你的词典借我用用，可以吗？

　　“能”is never used at the end of a sentence asking for permis-sion.“可以”，“成”and“行”are the words often used.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：请问，这儿能不能吸烟？能

　　Right：请问，这儿能不能吸烟？可以

　　Both“能”and“可以”indicate permission.But they are differ-ent in that“可以”forms an answer independently.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：阿里在家吗？他现在不能在家。

　　Right：阿里在家吗？他现在不会在家。

　　Right：阿里在家吗？他现在不可能在家。

　　“不能”denotes incapability while“不会”expresses objective impossibility.The proper substitute for“不能”may either be “不会”or“不可能”。

　　Example:

　　Wrong：你把这件衣服洗干净吗？我洗不干净。

　　Right：你能把这件衣服洗干净吗？我洗不干净。

　　From the follow-up sentence,we know that the speaker asks whether the person is able to wash the clothes.“能”should be added before the preposition“把”。

　　Example:

　　Wrong：旧的杂志可以能借吗？

　　Right：旧的杂志可以（能）借吗？

　　The co-existence of “可以”and“能”both used in asking for permission is an unnecessary repetition.The speaker has to choose between the two possibilities.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：你能去不去参观？

　　Right：你能不能去参观？

　　In an affirmative-negative question with an auxiliary verb such as“能”，it is the affirmative and negative forms of the auxiliary verb,rather than ang other sentence element,that are to be placed together.

　　Example:

　　Wrong：你把你的学习方法能不能给我门介绍一下儿？

　　Right：你能不能把你的学习方法给我们介绍一下儿？

　　In the把-sentence,the auxiliary verb always precedes “把”。It never appears after the prepositional phrase formed by 把。、
